First of all, I have to admit that my new blogskin isn‘t that fantastic or cool as I expect it to be. But I wonder..
How many of your friends have blog? How many of those blogs are written in Chinese? How many of them used their own blogskin, rather than just "goped" from blogskins.com?
And lastly, how many of the blogs that you‘ve come across attracted your attention?
Well, I hope mine did. =)
The title of my blog is I'm Alone.. Wandering.. Wondering...
It's all about my own thoughts and experiences. So leave me a deep impression and I'll write about you. Some posts are written in Chinese just to eliminate a handful of people who are too lazy to read word for word or don't have a good grasp of Chinese.

TP Open House 2009
It's the second time I went to TP open house. It seems that the poly route is getting more and more popular. Back then, when you can't get into JC, then you go to poly almost unwillingly. But now, students tend to choose poly without even thinking about going to JC. I think they are right, based on my own experience, getting a diploma is far more better and safer than having an A levels cert.
Shall I get a diploma too? Hmm.
TP open house 2009. I went with my grandmother. Rather than leaving her alone at home, might as well bring her around. She loves to meet new people. :D
We avoided the bridge leading to TP because there were too many people cheering and screaming. We walked up the slope, but the students at the bridge caught us and cheered to us. My grandmother, with an umbrella to shield herself from the sun, chuckled and smiled like a superstar. :D
We were in the middle of a place shaped like a horse-shoe magnet, known as foyer, not knowing where to go.
Starting from the left, we went to know more about the applied food science and nutrition course.
I almost fell asleep when listening to one girl talking softly and monotonously about what's the course about.Chemical engineering. The girl started off telling me about the project they had.
Was everyone memorising their speech? Next, we tried the Business School.
"I want to know more about the Hospitality and Tourism Management course, in detail."We waited but no one volunteered. Finally a girl stood up and said she'd try her best to explain. Very good. :)
We were brought to a room, which I guessed is a tutorial room, filled with the smell of cookies. :D
I was told by one of the lecturers,
"Frankly speaking, for hospitality and tourism management, it's very difficult to get into a local university." Oh. :(
I asked about the interview for the entry to the course. Like what do they look out for, what kind of questions would be asked.
He said it's trade secret. ?!?! -.-''
Another question I asked, "What's 'Introduction to gaming operations'?"
He said, "It's a subject."
He looked at me and smiled, satisfied with his answer. -.-''''
He's a lecturer leh.
Is he trying to be funny or what? *faint*Then for the cooking tour.
Temasek Culinary Academy(TCA). We took a shuttle bus to get there. It shows that the school is too big. The guy on the bus pointed here and there to show us where we would be visiting in a moment's time. Though I didn't know where he was pointing, I sensed his enthusiasm. :D
I learn many things from the tour.
Butchery. I can't imagine myself chopping and slicing the meat. :\
Another place to prepare cold dishes like sandwiches, salads, etc. What's the french word for it?
Chiller. The first thing that came to mind was something to do with air-conditioning. Here, I'm reminded that chiller is a place to store your frozen food. "It's not the small chiller in your home."
Conduction stove. Wow. Safe and easy to clean. I intend to have that in my kitchen next time. Haha.
Knives are not to be left hanging on the wall. I thought students need to sign in and out for the loan of knives. It turns out that the students need to buy their own knife set. So everyone carries a knife set. Does that make culinary students the most dangerous students in campus? No wonder TCA is located at the far end of the whole campus.
Culinary Theatre. Cool.
Live demonstration by the professionals, with a few cameras taking different angles of the cooking process. They introduced a few equipments and I stored them in my RAM. (which means I forgot the names once I walked out of the door. :P) But I'm more interested in where does the smoke go and how. Oh, I noticed the sprinklers. The sprinklers were there just in case, I suppose, chefs are humans too. :D
Vista. One of the tour guides asked,
"You know the Windows Vista?" I nodded. I was going to say " I only know the Windows Vista". As if he knew what I wanted to say, he later said,
"Ya, but not that vista." -.-''.
The cafe. I forgot what's the name of it. I saw someone familiar behind the counter. The guy from Campus Superstar by the name of don't know what yang.
The cafe is a mini one. Too many people standing behind the counters. Decreasing returns to scale. Not many seats as well. My grandmother was hungry. So was I. But she doesn't like western food and prefers proper meal with rice and hot dishes. The cafe is small with very limited seats. I was thinking if there were no seats for us, then we'll have our lunch at somewhere else.
To my surprise, the tour guides booked the seats for us! Wow! I was really impressed and touched by their kind gesture. :)Needless to say, my grandmother was happy to have her lunch there, though the food might not be to her liking. With over 50 years of cooking experience, my grandmother said that the fish was not fully cooked. :\ She's still happy nevertheless, especially when one of the guides kept holding on to her, afraid that she might fall. The girl didn't know that actually my grandmother still can run after a bus. :D
The culinary tour guides left me with a very good impression. Excellent. *applause* :)For the IT courses, one lecturer said that banking and finance using IT can earn a lot of money.
"After you futher your studies and worked for a few years, you could earn as much as $6000++ per month." She then said she worked in bank before.
Then our conversation went on like this:
Me: "May I ask why do you choose to be a lecturer, when you can earn so much money working in a bank?"
Lecturer: "Good question. Because I want to try something new and money isn't everything. I'm happier teaching here."
Me: *smiles*
Typical answer. Expected. :) Except for the IT lecturer, the rest were.. *shake head*
Perhaps the subjects are dull, I can imagine writing programming codes. Maybe that explains the students from IT school.
We didn't try engineering school.
Because I think I can explain better than them. :PI like design too. But I can't see the future in there. Though
I would like to create animations. Something like Nemo. :DOoh, I found something from the website. Specialist diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Hmm.. Shall I..? :D
By the way, many people told me that
my hair is TOO long. It's reached my waist and slightly beyond. I begin to worry when I use a sitting toilet bowl. Haha. :D But I don't feel like cutting.

In the future, after I receive my first pay, there are many things I would like to do.Treats. The first person on the list of friends whom I want to give a treat to would be Sharon. ^^
And of course, QH, SY and some others who always help me every now and then. Sorry, you can't choose. It has to be Swensens. Hehe. :)
Cruise. A good getaway for my whole family during short holidays like Chinese New Year. :D
Chalet. Well, if I can't afford a cruise, we'll settle for a chalet. :)
Food. My family loves food. Earle Swensens, Jack's Place, NYDC, Chen FuJi, Crystal Jade, Imperial Treasure, Din Tai Fung, Tung Lok, buffets, etc. Yummy! :P
Presents. My mum already told me she wants a Bonia bag. Design doesn't matter. :\
Travel. Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. :D
I have already had plans for my future. So, please let me graduate and get a well-paid job soon.
This is my one and only new year cum birthday wish. Please let it come true. Thanks very much. :)
